Welcome to Vietnam! Your adventure in this beautiful country begins as soon as you arrive in the vibrant city of Hanoi. You will be met by your private driver at the airport, who will be holding a sign with your name on it. From there, you will be taken to your accommodation, which is located right in the heart of the city, giving you easy access to the enchanting Old Quarter. After indulging in a scrumptious breakfast at your hotel, our proficient English-speaking guide will accompany you on a journey to Ba Vi, an idyllic countryside nestled on the outskirts of Hanoi. As you arrive at Ri village, relish a refreshing welcome drink and delectable snacks and be introduced to your first host, Mr. Duoc, a Vietnam War veteran and a proud tea-farm owner. Unwind while sipping your drink and listening to Mr. Duoc's war stories, and then stroll through his tea plantation to learn how to handpick the finest tea leaves to prepare Vietnam's most exquisite beverage. Follow up with a visit to his small-scale workshop, where you'll witness how tea is meticulously processed, mostly by hand. Subsequently, take a short drive to Moc village, where you'll meet your next host, Mrs. Chin, who will reveal the secret recipes of local Vietnamese cuisine. Afterward, relish the sumptuous lunch, comprising the dishes you learned to cook, in a beautiful tropical garden. After lunch, take a leisurely stroll around the village with Mrs. Chin, where you'll visit some local families and get to know about the rural lifestyle. Observe the creation of traditional products such as tofu and conical hats. Then hop on a bicycle and enjoy a ride through the stunning paddy fields. As the day draws to an end, treat your feet to a soothing soak in warm water with herbs, using traditional recipes from the Muong ethnic minority. It's the perfect way to unwind after a day of cycling around the countryside. Finally, return to Hanoi, where you will be transported to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Begin your day by checking out of your hotel in Hanoi, then meet your cruise team who will escort you on a scenic route to Halong Bay, crossing the Red River Delta, where you'll be greeted by breathtaking views of vibrant green rice paddies stretching as far as the eye can see. Upon arrival at the pier, board your cruise ship and admire the stunning vistas of limestone cliffs and karst formations dotting the bay. Savor a delectable seafood lunch onboard, and take some time to explore the Bay's beauty from the sundeck. As the day continues, your cruise will anchor in a secluded area where you can dive deeper into the karst formations by kayaking or swimming. Later, return to the ship for an early dinner, followed by an evening of leisure. You can participate in onboard activities or just relax and take in the gorgeous scenery. Overnight on the cruise. Then head to the majestic Imperial Citadel, a complex of palaces, pavilions, and gardens that was home to the Nguyen emperors for over a century. Afterward, board a boat for a delightful river cruise to meet and engage with local fishermen. Experience the excitement of traditional net fishing and learn new techniques from the experts. Later, embark on a thrilling paddleboat ride in a unique Vietnamese bamboo basket boat, meandering through the waterways of a delightful coconut palm paradise. Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before embarking on a journey to the Cu Chi Tunnels. The drive will take approximately one and a half hours. Upon arrival, begin with a short introduction and an introductory video about the construction of the tunnels and how people survived in the harsh conditions of wartime. Spend your time exploring the remaining areas and tunnel systems, including living areas, kitchens, and bedrooms, side by side with other military facilities such as storage, weapons factories, field hospitals, and command centers. All of these features were essential to enable the people living inside the tunnels to meet their basic needs. Additionally, within the maze-like tunnels, there are many hidden trap doors and dangerous traps for security purposes during the war.
