Day 1 ARRIVAL CHIANG RAI

Upon arrival in Chiang Rai, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your chosen hotel for check-in. The remainder of the day is yours to spend at your leisure. You may choose to explore the historic old town, which traces its roots back to the reign of King Mangrai in the 13th century, or take a stroll through the lively night bazaar to experience the vibrant atmosphere of this charming region. Overnight in Chiang Rai.

Day 2 CHIANG RAI – GOLDEN TRIANGLE – CHIANG RAI

Proceed to the city center to visit the famous King Mangrai Monument. From there, continue to the Hilltribe Museum and Education Centre, where you will gain insight into the numerous hill tribes that have inhabited the surrounding highlands for centuries, learning how they have adapted to the pressures of globalization. Next, head to the Mae Chan district to explore remote villages of the Yao and Akha hill tribes, immersing yourself in their unique way of life. The journey then takes you to Mae Sai, a bustling border town with a vibrant market. Following this, venture into the heart of the legendary Golden Triangle, where the borders of Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar converge. Once known for its widespread opium production, this region offers a glimpse into its fascinating history. After enjoying lunch, travel to Chiang Saen to visit Wat Phra That Chom Kitti, perched on a hilltop and accessible by a 350-step staircase. Return to Chiang Rai for a free afternoon to relax at your leisure. Overnight in Chiang Rai.

Day 3 CHIANG RAI – CHIANG MAI

Embarking on a journey to Chiang Mai. On the way, stop at the stunning Wat Rong Khun, also known as the White Temple, located just outside of Chiang Rai. This architectural marvel, constructed in the 1990s, is known for its all-white façade, adorned with intricate designs and mirrored glass that reflect light, making it one of Thailand’s most visually striking temples. Upon arriving in Chiang Mai, you'll visit Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, one of the most sacred temples in the country. Located atop a mountain, this revered site offers breathtaking panoramic views of the city below. To reach the temple, you can either climb a 309-step naga staircase or take a cable car for a more leisurely ascent. Afterward, head to the riverfront for a scenic cruise along the Ping River. Enjoy the relaxing ride, followed by a visit to a local farm where you’ll be treated to a tasty khao soi noodle curry and a captivating traditional dance performance. Finish the day with a stroll through the local flower and produce market before returning to your hotel. The cable car is included in the tour.

Day 4 CHIANG MAI CITY & SURROUNDINGS

After lunch, delve into the rich history of this ancient city. Chiang Mai’s old town is still partially encircled by the remnants of its former defensive walls and a moat. Your exploration begins with a visit to Wat Suan Dok, where you'll be captivated by its towering 48-meter Sri Lankan-style chedi, which stands guard over the Royal Cemetery. Next, head to Wat Phra Sing, a beautiful temple complex with over 60 buildings located in the old town. Then, visit Wat Chedi Luang, a striking 14th-century temple in the heart of the city.

Day 5 DEPART CHIANG MAI

Ha Long Bay Tours - 🚢 Ha Long Bay Tours – Everything You Need to Know in 2025 🌊🇻🇳 If you're planning a trip to Vietnam, Ha Long Bay is likely at the top of your bucket list – and for good reason. With its breathtaking limestone karsts and emerald waters, this UNESCO World Heritage site is a dream destination for nature lovers, couples, and adventure seekers alike. But with so many tour options available, how do you choose the right one? 🤔 Here’s a complete, up-to-date guide to Ha Long Bay tours, based on real experiences and current trends! 🧭 Types of Ha Long Bay Tours You’ll find a wide variety of tours, from quick day-trips to luxurious overnight cruises. Let’s break down your options: 🕐 1-Day Tours While possible, day trips are very rushed. It’s an 8-hour round trip from Hanoi, leaving you with minimal time on the bay itself. Not ideal if you want to truly enjoy the beauty of Ha Long Bay. 🌅 2-Day, 1-Night Cruises The most popular choice! You’ll spend a night on the water, giving you a magical evening surrounded by the bay’s towering limestone cliffs. These trips usually include: Sunset views 🌇 Kayaking 🚣 Squid fishing 🎣 Morning tai chi 🌄 However, you’ll only get one full afternoon and one morning onboard. 🏝️ 3-Day, 2-Night Cruises Got more time? Go for this option. You’ll have a full day to relax, explore hidden caves, swim, kayak, or even visit floating villages 🛶. This is the best way to fully experience the peaceful side of the bay without rushing. 💵 How Much Do Tours Cost in 2025? Prices depend on the type of cruise: Budget boats: From $25–$50, but beware: cleanliness and safety may be questionable. Mid-range cruises: Around $100–$150 per person, often all-inclusive. Luxury cruises: From $200 up to $500+ per night for high-end amenities, fine dining, and boutique experiences. 👉 Pro tip: Book off-season (May–September) to snag great discounts – just keep an eye on the weather! ⚠️ What to Watch Out For While competition among tour operators is fierce, not all tours are created equal. Some things to keep in mind: 🛑 Avoid Ultra-Cheap Deals If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Dirt-cheap tours often come with: Dirty cabins 🧼 Overcrowded boats 🚧 Poor service or even safety risks ⚠️ ✅ Ask About Group Size Ideally, tours should cap at 16–20 people. Smaller groups = more personal experience. 🌧️ Weather Cancellations Bad weather can shorten or cancel tours. According to Vietnamese law, you’re entitled to a full refund if your cruise is canceled due to weather – don’t hesitate to ask. 🧳 Trusted Ha Long Bay Tour Operators in 2025 Here are some reputable companies with solid reputations this year: 🐉 Indochina Junk https://indochina-junk.comOne of the most trusted operators with eco-focused tours, especially around the quieter Bai Tu Long Bay. The 3D2N tour on Dragon’s Pearl is a top pick. 🦢 Swan Cruises https://swancruiseshalong.comFantastic for couples or families who prefer a more laid-back experience in Bai Tu Long Bay. From $185/person for a 2D1N tour. 🛥️ Emeraude Classic Cruises https://emeraude-cruises.comSail in a luxurious, 19th-century-inspired paddle steamer. Think elegant cabins, a fine-dining restaurant, spa treatments, and sunrise tai chi on the deck. 🌅 🍷 Discova Vietnam https://discovatours.comUpscale cruises paired with seaplane transfers for stunning aerial views. Kayaking, gourmet seafood, and premium wine selection included. 🍽️ 🇦🇺 Kangaroo Café https://facebook.com/realkangaroocafeA long-standing Aussie-run operator in Hanoi. Their tours are budget-friendly but reliable, with excellent meals and ethical practices. 🎉 Vietnam Backpacker Hostels https://vietnambackpackerhostels.comParty-friendly tours! Join fellow backpackers on a 3D2N trip to a private island, with kayaking, games, and more than a few drinks 🍻. 📅 Final Tips Before You Book ✅ Always confirm if the entrance fee to Ha Long Bay National Park is included. 🚐 Most tours include round-trip transportation from Hanoi. 📸 Don’t forget your camera – sunrise and sunset are simply unforgettable. 🏊 Bring swimwear, sunscreen, and light layers – weather can shift quickly. Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway, a luxurious cruise, or a budget backpacker adventure, Ha Long Bay has something magical to offer everyone. Just choose your tour wisely, and let the emerald waters do the rest 💚.How to Get to Ha Long Bay - 🚐 How to Get to Ha Long Bay – Updated Travel Tips for 2025 🌊 Planning a trip to the iconic Ha Long Bay? Here’s everything you need to know to make your journey smooth and stress-free – whether you’re booking a cruise or crafting your own adventure. 🧳 Getting There from Hanoi One of the most convenient ways to explore Ha Long Bay is by booking a guided tour from Hanoi. Nearly every travel agency in the capital offers full-day or overnight trips that include round-trip transportation, meals, and a boat cruise 🛥️. You’ll usually travel by bus or limousine van to Tuan Chau Island, located about 12km west of Ha Long City. From there, you’ll board a charming traditional wooden junk to begin your bay experience. ✨ Why book a tour? It's often cheaper, easier, and more organized than planning each element yourself. Most tours cover the Ha Long Bay entrance fees, sightseeing stops, and meals – just double-check what's included before booking. 📍 Tuan Chau Island – The Main Gateway All cruises now depart from Tuan Chau Marina, the largest port in the region. Whether you're on a group tour or arranging a private charter, this is where your boat adventure begins ⛴️. Need help organizing a custom tour or private yacht? The Tuan Chau Information Center on-site has friendly staff ready to assist (📞 +84 203 3842 134 or visit tuanchau-halong.com.vn). 📆 Best Time to Visit Ha Long Bay’s stunning seascapes look best under clear skies, so timing matters. Here’s what to keep in mind: ☀️ April to October: Warm, sunny, and great for swimming or kayaking – though summer showers can pop up suddenly. 🌫️ November to March: The bay can be misty and chilly, with occasional drizzle and gray skies, especially in January and February. The mystical fog has its own charm, but photography and visibility may be limited. 👉 Pro Tip: Book at least 2 days/1 night to truly enjoy the bay. Day trips feel rushed, and overnight cruises offer sunset views, squid fishing 🦑, and morning Tai Chi on deck 🌅. Whether you're a first-timer or returning for more, planning your arrival right ensures your Ha Long Bay journey is unforgettable. Need help choosing a cruise style or hidden gems nearby?
